Tho far apart be true in heart

I sleep with the radio on every night, and listen to it when I'm working. It is permanently tuned to Magic 1278AM. Hands down, it's my favourite radio station. If you want a serious time warp experience, then Magic is the place for you. The reception is grainy, the DJs speak in 50s lingo, the advertisements may all be about dentures and walking frames and pre-paid funerals but it's the radio station for me. You have to experience the Magic! They play everything from daggy choir covers of Blondie's 'Heart of Glass' to Billy Joel, Peter Allen, Tom Jones, Dion and the Belmonts, The Big Bopper, that to die for version of 'Dream a Little Dream' by Mama Cass, a lot of the big Roy Orb, Nancy Sinatra, Boney M (??), Sonny and Cher, Elvy, Frank, Chris De Burgh's 'Lady in Red'... the daggiest of the daggy, plus MORE. It's the best.

I think I am their youngest listener. This is why I am really keen to like, get my own hour segment on there to freshen the place up a bit or something. But my Dad says that Magic is one of those stations that doesn't change because they have no need to be edgy or different because they get by the way that they are. I want to change this. I really could brighten up those oldies days with my high pitched voice and decidedly odd song choices. I like radio as a medium, a lot. I think of it as this big cloud, like a soundtrack to everyone's lives.

Hmm.. below are some photos of a new short dress/long top I got today but it has holes in it so I dunno. I also got a Simon and Garfunkel record, which has such great colours and shapes on the cover. Anyway a big whatever I'm trying to listen to the radio.
