My wild sweet love
I'm feelin' the LA, Jayne Mansfield, pink and yellow and red vibes. I've been wearing lots of pink lately and have beauteous pastel pink manicured toes. I have been making lots of work that I can't show you yet, because it is to be in upcoming shows, sorry. But, patience is a virtue, although I guess you don't even know what you're waiting for and probably don't care anyway so the sentiment is irrelevant. The collage I posted above I made today, it's not quite right (Hence why I can show you now) but was fun nonetheless. I wanted to play around with the idea of a sinister carnival funhouse, having the room upside down and stuff. Hopefully I can take this further so it is more successful in the future. I have just finished a series of collages called
'Girls who wanted to be astronauts'
which I am really excited about.
Tonight I had a 'photoshoot' for an upcoming show that I am in at the South Warf Promenade Window which is at the Docklands. I met the other great artists who are also working in the space. There are three planets in my communication zone (according my star sign in the MX Newspaper...) and I really did talk some people's ears off today. It felt great just to chat and meet new people after a rather extended period of relative hermiting. This is beginning to go onto the nonsensical path so I'll leave it here. Uh, PINK! YELLOW!
